چکیده

Pea is a seed legume. It rich in cellulose fibre and protein. also significant source of minerals vitamins. In this paper, we set out to better characterize the physiological responses Pisum sativum L. combined effects NaCl, 100 mM gibberellins (GA3). Our analysis revealed that NaCl caused decrease growth resulting reduction root elongation, distribution density, leaf number area, dry matter roots shoots. However, contribution GA3 salty environment induced an increase these different parameters suggesting improving effect hormone on pea presence salt. led disturbance photosynthetic machinery. Indeed, level chlorophyll pigments (a total) activity were decreased compared control plants. exogenous supply restored net CO2 assimilation, but not content. Additional analyses performed salinity/GA3 interaction osmolytes (soluble sugars starch). results showed starch NaCl. The salt-GA3 combination resulted compensation soluble sugar contents contents, beneficial under saline stress conditions. Level three main polyamines putrescine, spermidine, spermine increased significantly all organs salt-treated

Evaluating physiological responses of plants to salinity stress

BACKGROUND Because soil salinity is a major abiotic constraint affecting crop yield, much research has been conducted to develop plants with improved salinity tolerance. Salinity stress impacts many aspects of a plant's physiology, making it difficult to study in toto Instead, it is more tractable to dissect the plant's response into traits that are hypothesized to be involved in the overall to...

Physiological and Morphological Responses of White Clover (Trifolium repens) and Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) Plants to Salinity Stress

Trifolium spp. are native plants in Iran exhibiting good ground cover po-tential. Salinity is a major environmental stress and today, 20% of the world cultivated areas and nearly half of all irrigated lands are affected by salinity. The main aim of this research was to study morphological and physiological adaptations of these native species under different salinity levels for urban landscape u...

Growth Responses of Alaska Pea Seedlings to Visible Radiation and Gibberellic Acid.

SUMMIARY Exposure of a dwarf pea (Morse's Progress # 9) to a single brief irradiation with red light results in an inhibition of growth whiich persists for several days. After 4 or 5 days the plants resume growth at the dark-grown rate. Far-redl irradiation will negate the red effect. The effect of a series of gibberellin (loses on the growth responses of irra(liated or dark-grown peas has been...

Physiological and antioxidant enzymatic activity responses of rootstock of sapodilla to salinity stress

Sapodilla is one of the important fruit crops in tropical area which has problem with seed germination. So Manilkara hexandra (kherol) is generally used as a rootstock for sapodilla. This experiment was performed to assess the morphological changes and antioxidant enzymatic activity of Manilkara hexandra seedling under salinity condition. A pot experiment was carried out in a greenhouse using d...
